Chiefs Re-Sign Dwayne Bowe

The Kansas City Chiefs and wide receiver Dwayne Bowe came to terms Monday on a five-year contract, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The numbers have not been released but it is expected Bowe received $11 million per year. Bowe will be the No. 1 target for new quarterback Alex Smith.

Packers Do Not Tag Greg Jennings

The Green Bay Packers let wide receiver Greg Jennings walk Monday as the team did not give him the franchise tag.

Tagging Jennings would have cost $11 million. The 30-year-old wide out is expected to be pursued by the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings among other potential teams.

Cowboys Release Gerald Sensabaugh

Dallas Cowboys released safety Gerald Sensabaugh Monday, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

Sensabaugh is a cap casualty for the Cowboys after the team failed to re-negotiate with Tony Romo. Sensabaugh is likely to reel a one-year deal.

Joe Flacco, Ravens Agree On Long-Term Deal

According to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer, the Baltimore Ravens and quarterback Joe Flacco have agreed to a long-term contract.

Finally the deal is done. The details of the contract have not been released but it is sure to be a big deal. The money has been predicted from $80 million to $100 million.

A source told CSN New England that wide receiver Brandon Lloyd is not in the New England Patriots’ plans for 2013.

Lloyd is expected to get cut a year after signing a three-year deal. He came on strong at the end of the 2012 season but is not listed on the Patriots depth charts.

Rams Not Pursuing A Running Back

After Steven Jackson voided his final year of his contract, the St. Louis Rams are not expected to go after any free agent on the market, according to St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Even if Jackson signs with another team, the Rams are going to stay in house. Isaiah Pead and Daryl Richardson will end up sharing duties.

Chiefs Acquire Alex Smith

The San Francisco 49ers traded quarterback Alex Smith to the Kansas City Chiefs Wednesday for a second-round draft pick in this year’s draft and a conditional third-round pick in the 2014 draft.

This effectively ends all the speculation of Smith going to the Arizona Cardinals. The 49ers now own the 34th pick of the draft and could even look to draft a backup with the pick. Smith get the opportunity to work in Andy Reid‘s west coast offense, which Smith is accustomed to

Jets Actively Shopping Darrelle Revis?

A source told the New York Daily News that the New York Jets were actively shopping cornerback Darrelle Revis at the NFL Scouting Combine.

There are now interested teams doing their homework on how to fit Revis into their plans. Revis is still under contract with the Jets and is coming back from a torn ACL. His reign as “NFL’s best corner” is up in the air.

Darrelle Revis Not Getting A Long Term Deal With Jets

According to ESPN New York, cornerback Darrelle Revis is not going to get a long-term deal with the New York Jets unless he takes a Tom Brady-like approach to it.

Revis will not be back with the Jets next season probably if talks continue to fly south. Owner Woody Johnson has fielded offers for Revis at the Combine.
